Forgot to post this last week. Mary Ellyn and I celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary on May 26th. We were married at Lutheran Church of the Master here in Troy. On that same day in 1991, I also became a father to Mary Ellyn's daughter Jill.
We received a nice letter (pictured below) from our State Representative Martin Howrylak congratulating us on this milestone.
City staff has posted the video recording of the 5/17/16 Troy Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) meeting to YouTube. At the bottom of this post is the video. (The meeting actually starts shortly after the 1 minute and 30 second mark of the video.)

There were three items on the agenda:
A variance for 1321 Boyd (to split a parcel of land into 2 parcels). At the request of the petitioner, this item was postponed to our June meeting.
A variance for 6511 Malvern (to construct a new home). The ZBA voted on a resolution to deny the variance. I voted "no" and the resolution to deny the variance failed. The ZBA then voted to postpone action on this item to our June meeting.
A variance for 4354 Cherrywood (to construct an addition to a home). The ZBA approved the variance. I voted "yes" to approve the variance.
We also conducted our annual ZBA officer elections. Congratulations to Chair Glenn Clark and Vice Chair David Eisenbacher who were both re-elected.
As a Trustee for the Troy Foundation For Educational Excellence (TFEE), I look forward to attending our annual reception which recognizes the recipients of our grants. Below I've posted a short video featuring a few of the photos I took at last week's reception.
