Knollenberg's 2015 Gas Tax Vote

It took a lot of courage for State Senator Marty Knollenberg to cast a vote that will anger those who think we can repair Michigan's roads without a tax increase.

Is There Something Wrong With Your Religion?

Displayed below is a Twitter post that I discovered last week.
I couldn't have said it any better. Politics is based on the art of compromise. In fact, you may find your adversary on one political issue is an ally on a different political issue.

Thank You Troy Athens and the Troy School District

Congratulations to our son Alex who graduated from Troy Athens High School on June 6th. We now have two Troy Athens graduates in our home. Jill from the Class of 1999 and Alex from the Class of 2015.

Mary Ellyn designed the photo composite below showing Alex on his first day of Kindergarten (at Troy Union Elementary) and his last day as a Senior at Athens. Time goes by way too fast!

The photo below is from the 2015 Athens Senior Honors ceremony. Alex was one of four Athens students who received a Troy Athens PTO college scholarship.

Below is a photo of Alex receiving his diploma from Dr. Lara Dixon, Athens' Principal, during the 6/6/15 Commencement at Oakland University.

Last, but not least, is a photo of Alex with Troy School Board member Paula Fleming in front of our home shortly after graduation.

After Alex completed 8th grade at Our Shepherd Lutheran School in Birmingham, Paula played a significant role in encouraging us to return our son to the Troy School District for his high school education. We don't regret our decision and I'm fairly confident that Alex was pleased with his 4-year experience at Athens!
