Congratulations Troy Medi-Go Plus on 25 Years of Service

Congratulations to Troy Medi-Go Plus on its 25th Anniversary of helping Troy senior citizens and adults with disabilities in need of transportation to get to medical appointments and other important destinations. We are particularly grateful to this non-profit community organization because our daughter Jill uses them to get to work during the winter months.

The Troy-Somerset Gazette featured a photo of Troy Mayor Slater and Troy Medi-Go Plus founder Jo Rhoads celebrating the organization's 25 years. If you can't read the caption to the right, here's what it says...
Troy Medigo Celebrates 25 Years of Service
Troy Medigo hosted a celebration at the Troy Community Center complete with hot dogs, refreshments, cake and entertainment. Troy Mayor, Dane Slater offered congratulations to the founder Ms. Joesephine Rhoads, the Board of Directors and staff. Jo Rhoads saw a need to provide safe, affordable transportation for Troy seniors to get to medical appointments and with donations acquired a van. Through a partnership with SMART, private donations sponsorships and millage funds the service has continued to make good on that vision. Today, with four buses in service Troy Medigo delivers 13,000 rides over 99,000 miles yearly. Today our seniors can enjoy trips to the mall, grocery shopping and the Community Center giving them back their independence.
The Troy City Council also recognized Troy Medi-Go Plus on June 3, 2013. Click here to download/print their recognition resolution.
