Knollenberg Troy Mayoral Endorsements 3/5/13

Troy Mayoral candidate Marty Knollenberg has picked up some new endorsements from community leaders. Here's the news release from Murray Communications...
Several of Troy's most distinguished leaders today endorsed Marty Knollenberg for mayor. Troy is holding a special election on May 7th to replace former Mayor Janice Daniels, who was recalled by Troy voters on November 6, 2012.

The Troy leaders endorsing Knollenberg include: John Weisgerber, Bill Weisgerber, Henry Allemon, Andrea Allemon, Steve Toth and Ann Toth.

"We're supporting Marty Knollenberg for mayor because he cares about Troy. He's a thoughtful listener who puts the city above politics," said Henry Allemon, former City Councilman and Troy Distinguished Citizen of the year; and Andrea Allemon, local small business owner and former Troy Distinguished Citizen of the Year.

"Marty Knollenberg is the right leader with the right experience to bring our city together. He'll be a great ambassador for our city," said John Weisgerber, local small business owner and community activist.

"Marty is an experienced leader with a proven track record of getting results for Troy. I'm confident that he'll get our city moving in the right direction again," added Bill Weisgerber, veteran of World War II and past member of the Troy Senior Advisory Committee.

"We're voting for Marty Knollenberg for mayor on May 7th and we encourage all of our friends to do the same. Marty is a strong leader who will represent our entire community. Marty Knollenberg will make us proud," said Steve and Ann Toth. Both of the Toths have been named Troy Distinguished Citizen of the Year.

Knollenberg was grateful for the display of bipartisan support.

"This election is about unifying our city and getting it moving forward again. These distinguished leaders' dedication to our city is marked by the absence of partisanship and a focus on doing what's right for all of our residents. I'm proud to have their support and look forward to working with them in the future," Knollenberg said.

Additional major community endorsements will be announced in the near future.
